Why can't I control the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C with the Xiaomi Home App?

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C is compatible with the Xiaomi Home App, which allows you to control and integrate it with other smart devices.
If you're unable to control the robot vacuum using the Xiaomi Home App, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check your network and Wi-Fi settings. The robot vacuum only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. 5 GHz networks or public Wi-Fi with web authentication are not supported;
2. Ensure the robot vacuum is powered on and the surrounding network environment is stable;
3. Verify your router is functioning properly. If too many smart devices are connected, it can slow down the network or cause the router to become unresponsive. Try restarting the router and reconnecting the device;
4. Check your phone's app permissions. Make sure that network access, location services, and other required permissions are enabled for the Xiaomi Home App;
5. Force restart the robot vacuum. Press and hold the power button on the robot vacuum to shut it down, then press the power button for 3 seconds to power it back on;
6. Restore factory settings if needed. Open the top cover of the robot vacuum and press and hold the reset button using a tool until you hear the voice prompt "Device reset successfully." This will restore the device to its factory default state;
