What to do if the brushes on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C are tangled?

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C is equipped with a main brush and a side brush that effectively sweep and collect debris. If either brush becomes tangled with hair, threads, or other debris, it can reduce cleaning performance or cause the device to report an error.
If the brushes on the robot vacuum are tangled, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:
1. Turn the robot vacuum over, remove the brushes, and check for hair or debris. Carefully cut away any tangled parts, then reinstall the brushes and clean them regularly, especially if you have pets or long hair in your household;
2. Before starting a cleaning task, remove loose items from the floor, such as toys, cables, and cloths, to reduce the risk of entanglement or blockage;
3. Use the Xiaomi Home App to set restricted areas or virtual walls, especially in cluttered areas or places with many cables, to help prevent the robot from getting stuck.
Note:
1. It is recommended to clean the main brush weekly and replace it every 6–12 months to maintain cleaning performance;
2. It is recommended to clean the side brush every 2 weeks and replace it every 3–6 months.
