The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G comes with an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor that supports up to 5 input fingerprints. The fingerprint unlock feature allows you to unlock your phone quickly and securely using your registered fingerprints.
If the fingerprint can’t be used on the phone, please refer to the following troubleshooting solutions:
1. Check whether the fingerprint module or your finger is dirty. Wipe the fingerprint sensor area with a dry tissue or alcohol wipe to remove any oil, dust, or water stains;
2. Ensure that the screen protector is not too thick, as it can affect fingerprint recognition. And make sure your finger is dry and free of obvious wounds or peeling;
3. Delete the fingerprint data and try re-registering one;
4. If the SIM card inserted into the phone cannot be identified by the system, the security protection mechanism will be triggered, and fingerprint unlocking cannot be used;
5. Please update the system to the latest version;
6. Please perform a factory reset and try again;
7. If the issue still persists after the above troubleshooting steps, you can go to * # * #6484# * # * in the dialer interface to do the Fingerprint sensor test and FingerprintEncroll to see whether the fingerprint sensor can work well. If there’s a hardware failure, please take the device along with the invoice to our local official after-sales center for further assistance.
