In use, the earbuds function in a main-subordinate configuration, and the power consumption differs between the main and subordinate earbuds in different operating modes. For example, when features like chat mode, wake-up word activation, or calls are enabled, the main earbud will consume more power than the subordinate earbud. Over time, this can result in a difference in the battery levels (the battery levels of the left and right earbuds will not be consistent in the APP). It is normal for the battery endurance to vary.
TWS earbuds will automatically switch between the main and subordinate earbuds when the battery level difference between them reaches a preset threshold, between 5% to 20%, to balance the power consumption. This threshold will vary slightly depending on the product.
Additionally, there are a few scenarios to be aware of:
1. If you habitually wear one earbud while the other is charging in the case, this can cause a mismatch in the battery levels between the left and right earbuds when both are used. It is recommended to wear both earbuds similarly to check for any battery imbalance;
2. When wearing only one earbud, the wearing earbud can use transparency mode, while the unwearing earbud can only use the off mode. This scenario can easily cause an imbalance in the battery levels displayed for the left and right earbuds.
