The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro support single earbud replacement and re-pairing of the left and right earbuds. 
For your reference, here are the steps to replace a single earbud and re-pairing the left and right earbuds:
1. After replacing a single earbud, place both earbuds in the charging case and close the lid;
2. Open the lid, and with the both earbuds still in the charging case, press and hold the function button on the charging case for 30 seconds. The earbuds will automatically re-pair.
Note:
Before replacing, make sure the earbuds have sufficient battery. Low battery will affect re-pairing and audio experience.
