Why is the clarity of photos reduced when sending messages?

When sending photos through messages, the clarity can be reduced due to several factors, including compression, network limitations, and the messaging platform used.
The reasons are as follows:
1. If you send a photo via MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) instead of RCS or a chat app, your carrier automatically compresses the image to save bandwidth;
2. Different messaging apps apply varying levels of compression to reduce file sizes and optimize delivery speeds;
3. If you send images over a weak Wi-Fi or low mobile data signal, they will be further compressed to speed up delivery;
4. Please check the following settings: Open the [Messages] app, tap the Profile icon in the upper right corner, and tap [Messages settings], then check if [Send photos faster] is enabled. If it is enabled, the resolution will be reduced for faster sending.
