RCS (Rich Communication Services) chats are upgraded messaging protocols that enhance traditional SMS and MMS by providing advanced features similar to messaging apps like WhatsApp and iMessage. It allows for richer media sharing, read receipts, typing indicators, and improved group messaging over mobile data or Wi-Fi.

2. Not all carriers support RCS. Check with your carrier if RCS is available. Some supported carriers require specific settings to enable RCS. Some carriers don’t support RCS. Please test with another carrier’s SIM card to see if RCS becomes available;
3. Restart and reset [Messages];
4. Make sure Google Messages is set as your default SMS app;
5. If your device has dual SIM slots, and both SIMs are inserted, make sure your call SIM is configured as your data SIM;
6. You have not completed the corresponding settings, and Google will send an SMS to confirm your phone number;
7. Google continues expanding RCS support. Keep your software updated and check back periodically.
