Why does the Xiaomi 15 occasionally fail to charge or experience slow charging when using magnetic wireless charging?

There are a couple of reasons why this can happen. If the charger is not properly aligned with the phone's charging coil for some time and then attached to the magnetic case, the foreign object protection strategy of the magnetic wireless charger can be triggered, causing it to fail to charge. This is a normal phenomenon. You can resolve this by removing the wireless charger and realigning it.
Additionally, if there are metal objects such as coins or paper clips caught between the phone and the magnetic wireless charger, they can cause overheating. In this case, the phone will trigger the FOD (Foreign Object Detection) protection mechanism, which can slow down or stop charging to prevent excessive heat generation. To ensure safe and efficient charging, please ensure that there are no metal objects between the phone and the charger.
