The restrictions for the local automation are listed below:
1. When creating an automation, you need to connect to the Internet. The Xiaomi server will determine whether the automation supports the local gateway operation. If it supports, the server will send the automation to the gateway for storage;
2. The created automation needs to ensure that the device in the trigger condition is connected to the gateway. If there are multiple trigger devices, they must all be under the same gateway, and the execution device must also be in the same LAN as the gateway (usually connected to the same router);
3. Smart scenarios need to be configured in usage scenarios 2.0. You can go to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP >> [Profile] >> [Experimental features] >> enable scenario automation 2.0;
4. The scenarios cannot contain functions that require networking, otherwise local automation cannot be achieved. Common functions that require networking include:
(1) Configure “business day” or “holiday” in effective time period;
(2) Trigger condition: Arriving/leaving a place; “Sunrise” or “sunset” in the schedule; Changes of outdoor weather;
(3) Condition: Outdoor weather conditions;
(4) Implementation actions: Implement manual scenarios; Send messages to the phone; Enable or disable automation scenarios;
(5) Some devices do not support local automation yet, such as the known smart door locks with cat-eye function.
In other creation scenarios, the conditions that do not support the creation of local automation are being continuously updated.
