The Xiaomi Tabletop Dishwasher uses hot air drying (3.0), utilizing PTC heating for better drying results.
Dishwashers go through several drying stages:
1. 1.0 Condensation residual heat drying: This method uses residual heat after washing to dry the dishes. However, it can lead to difficulties in expelling water vapor and condensation issues when temperatures drop. Currently, this type of dishwasher is largely unavailable on the market;
2. 2.0 Cold air ventilation drying: Some dishwashers are equipped with fans that expel water vapor. However, this method is less efficient and can not thoroughly dry the dishes. This approach is found in some entry-level dishwashers and countertop models;
3. 3.0 Hot air drying: This method uses electric heating wires (with higher-end models employing PTC technology) combined with fans to dry dishes using hot air, resulting in a higher level of dryness.
Note:
PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient, referring to a type of ceramic heating element.
