Why is the calorie deviation of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active so large?

The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active calculates calories based on your heart rate or wrist movement. The calorie calculation algorithm will be updated with each product iteration to take more influencing factors into consideration. There are some differences between the calorie calculation logic of previous models and the latest calorie calculation method.
In wearable devices, the calories generated in a day are mainly composed of two parts:
1. Passively recorded calories, also called daily calories, refer to the calories that can be generated when no manual exercise is initiated. Calories will not increase when not wearing or sleeping. In other normal conditions, calories can be generated as long as there is a certain amount of activity. For example, in daily office work, although there are no steps, calories can be generated due to a certain amount of activity. Calories are related to the size and duration of activity;
Note:
The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 and earlier devices only generate calories when there are steps or heart rate data.
2. Actively recorded calories, also called exercise calories, refer to the calorie value generated when you manually initiate exercise. It is mainly related to heart rate and personal information. The higher the heart rate and the longer the exercise time, the more calories are generated.
If you think the calorie data is abnormal, you can submit feedback and the relevant data will be analyzed.
