The solutions for the Xiaomi smartphone with no sound

If your phone has no sound from the speaker, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Check if the phone is in Silent or Do Not Disturb mode, and turn off those modes to try again;
2. Check if the phone is connected to Bluetooth headphones. Turn off Bluetooth or disconnect the Bluetooth headphones and try again. If the issue occurs after disconnecting Bluetooth and the speaker has no sound, try toggling Bluetooth off and on again, and check if the APP in playing audio has paused due to the Bluetooth disconnection;
3. Some APPs occupy the audio channel but do not play any audio. If you encounter this issue, it is recommended to clear all background APPs and then reopen the APP that you want to play audio from to try again;
4. If no wired headphones are connected but the notification bar shows the headphone icon, the issue can be caused by a faulty headphone jack. You can try cleaning the headphone jack;
5. In the dial interface, enter *#*#6484#*#* to access CIT (Hardware Detection) and select Speaker Test to check if the speaker is functioning properly.
If your phone's earpiece has no sound (no sound during voice calls), please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
1. If you experience static noise (buzzing sound) during calls, try turning on the speaker or plugging in headphones. If the sound is clear, the issue can be with the earpiece. It is recommended to take your phone to a nearby after-sale service center for inspection and repair;
2. If the sound cuts in and out during calls, try changing your environment to rule out network issues;
3. Enter hardware detection mode to check if the earpiece and speaker-related hardware are functioning properly;
4. Check if the call volume is set to maximum after confirming that the call environment is not the issue. If not, try adjusting the volume to the maximum during the call;
5. Turn on the speaker to see if it works. If there is no sound from the speaker either, check if there is a headphone icon at the upper right corner of the phone. If so, try cleaning the headphone jack or the charging port.
If the above methods do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to take your phone to a nearby after-sale service center for further inspection.
If your device only experiences no sound in certain APPs, please check the following settings:
1. Some APPs have independent volume controls. Try adjusting the volume within the APP and then test again;
2. In the latest system version, you can control the sound independently for each APP under [Settings] >> [Sound & vibration] >> [Additional settings]. If you have previously configured this feature, try adjusting the volume while the APP is running in the foreground or disable this feature to ensure the APP's volume is consistent with the system volume.
