Why does WhatsApp prompt overexposure when using a flashlight of the Redmi Pad Pro to shoot images in a dark environment?

When using WhatsApp to take pictures in a dark environment with the flashlight, overexposure occurs particularly if the flashlight is too close to the subject. This happens because the automatic flashlight feature is designed to provide adequate illumination, however, in very close proximity, it can result in too much light being directed at the subject, leading to overexposure.
This effect is more noticeable in low-light conditions where the contrast between the bright flashlight and the dark surroundings is more pronounced. It does not affect normal use.
If the issue impacts your photography experience, it is recommended to submit feedback directly through WhatsApp.
