Why can't bind the Xiaomi LED Desk Lamp 2 to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP and show a connection timeout?

If you encounter a connection timeout when binding the device to the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Exit the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP, close it completely (including clearing it from the background), and try reconnecting;
2. Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and that the Wi-Fi connection is working properly. Try creating a hotspot on your phone and connect the device to this hotspot to rule out network issues;
3. Move the device closer to the router and retry. If the router is too far, the Wi-Fi signal will be weak;
4. Check if the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP and your phone's system software need updates;
5. Try disabling the router’s blacklist or MAC address filtering settings;
6. If the issue persists, try using another phone and reset the device to try again;
7. If none of these steps work, it is recommended to contact the local after-sales service center for further inspection and assistance.
Note:
If you are using an iOS device and encounter binding issues, it is possible that an extra space is being added due to the default English keyboard input method. This can result in an incorrect password. Ensure to remove any extra spaces from the password before retrying.
