If you want to run HDR on a Windows PC, you need a compatible graphics processing unit (GPU), an HDR display, and the appropriate cables to connect the PC to the monitor. Intel 7th Gen Core processors and higher with integrated graphics, starting from HD 620 graphics, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series/16 series, RTX 20 series graphics cards, and AMD Radeon Rx 5 series and Radeon Rx VEGA graphics all support the HDR10 protocol.
The cable interfaces that can be used for HDR are as follows:
1. DisplayPort v1.2 and higher;
2. USB-C with DisplayPort Alt mode;
3. Thunderbolt 3;
4. HDMI v2.0a or v2.1.
For laptops or all-in-one PCs (AIO), integrated panels can enable HDR, in which case you don't need to worry about interfaces and cables.
