Can the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 control music playback on the phone?
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 can control the music playback on your phone. When the band and the phone are connected, open the music player on the phone first. After the music starts playing, the band enters the band music interface. tap the pause icon on the band to pause the playback. tap the song switch icon to switch to the previous or next song at any time. tap the volume [+] or [-] to adjust the volume. When the band is paired with a phone that supports the Mi Sharing Center, you can also tap [Cast] to enter the device selection page, and switch to other devices (speakers, headphones, TVs) to play music (need to connect to the same Wi-Fi).

When the band is connected to a Xiaomi phone, the Mi Fitness APP needs to enable notification usage rights before the music control function can be used.
To better control the music playback on the phone using the band, this function needs to be used after the phone starts playing music and the Mi Fitness APP needs to be kept running in the background. To avoid one-tap memory cleaning in the Android system and some housekeeper software cleaning processes or interception, please set it according to the requirements in the Mi Fitness APP >> [Device] >> [Background permissions].
