When searching for the Xiaomi Buds 5 on your phone, the earbuds also need to be in pairing mode.
Please refer to the following methods to resolve this issue:
1. Ensure the earbuds have sufficient battery first. Open the charging case and check the indicator. If it is red, the earbuds need charging. Open the charging case lid to hold and press the function button for 2 seconds. The indicator will blink continuously, meaning the earbuds are in pairing mode. Try searching for the Xiaomi Buds 5 on your phone to pair;
2. Ensure the pairing steps are correct. The earbuds will wait for connection in pairing mode. If no connection is made within one minute, the earbuds will enter sleep mode and the indicator will turn off;
3. If the above steps do not work, try resetting the earbuds to factory settings. Place both earbuds in the charging case, open the lid, and press the function button for 10 seconds. The indicator will flash and then turn white, meaning a successful reset and entry into pairing mode. Try pairing again;
4. Move to a different location as there is too much interference in your current area. Electromagnetic waves can interfere with Bluetooth connections, causing no sound or disconnections.
Note:
If the earbuds are already paired with one phone and need to be paired with a new phone, press and hold the charging case function button for 2 seconds until the white light blinks, then search again. When using the [Dual connection] feature, the Xiaomi Earbuds APP can only connect to one device at a time.
