Does the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 support the Unlock phone function?
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 supports the Unlock phone function. The band is paired one-to-one with the phone, and within a secure distance, the band acts as an identity ID, allowing it to replace the need for entering a password or pattern. This enhances convenience while ensuring security. The Unlock phone function can be enabled in the Mi Fitness APP and requires the phone to be connected to the band via Bluetooth.
To enable the function, please refer to the following steps:
Open the Mi Fitness APP >> select [Device] >> [Unlock phone] >> tap [Set screen lock] >> set a screen lock as you prefer >> tap [Confirm on your wearable device].
After the lock screen password is set, confirm the unlock on the band to be successfully paired. You can choose the unlock distance (close, moderate, or slightly far).
To unbind the band, you need to disable the Bluetooth device unlock feature in the phone's system settings:
Go to [Settings] >> [Fingerprints, face data, and screen lock] >> [Unlock with Bluetooth device] >> turn off [Unlock with Screen lock password].
Note:
The Unlock phone feature requires a Xiaomi phone running MIUI 12 or above.
