How to save the map on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+?
Saving the map on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ allows you to store the layout of your home for future cleaning sessions. This is useful for creating efficient cleaning schedules, setting up restricted areas, and ensuring the robot vacuum cleans specific areas as needed. Saving the map also helps the robot vacuum navigate more effectively, leading to better cleaning performance.
Please refer to the following steps to save the map on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+:
1. Ensure that the doors in the areas that should be cleaned are opened to ensure the integrity of the mapping;
2. During quick mapping, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ will explore the home environment. It will map without cleaning. The entire mapping process takes about 5-15 minutes. After mapping is complete, the robot vacuum will return to the Omni station and generate a partition map;
3. If you start cleaning by pressing the button on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ or select full-cleaning after tapping start in the Mi Home APP, it will start the cleaning task and return to the Omni station autonomously after finishing cleaning and generating a complete map;
4. If you manually return the robot vacuum to the Omni station or move it back manually during the cleaning process, only a temporary map will be generated. A temporary map does not have automatic partitioning and cannot use functions such as area selection cleaning or partition adjustment or renaming.
