What features does the IPTV function of the Xiaomi Router AX1500 support?
IPTV, short for Internet Protocol Television, is a new technology that uses broadband networks to provide a variety of interactive services to home customers which include digital television. The Xiaomi Router AX1500 supports IPTV multi-line multiplexing. After opening the IPTV function, please connect the optical modem to the router and then configure the IPTV function. Set one of the router's ports as the IPTV port and connect the TV set-top box to it. You can fully enjoy watching television programs.
The IPTV function of the Xiaomi Router AX1500 supports the following two modes:
1. In custom mode, the terminal device connected to the IPTV port does not need to be configured, but you need to configure the VLAN ID and VLAN priority provided by the service provider on the web page of the Xiaomi Router AX1500;
2. In bridge mode, you do not need to configure the VLAN ID and VLAN priority on the web page of the Xiaomi Router AX1500. However, the terminal device connected to the IPTV port needs to be configured with the VLAN ID and VLAN priority provided by the service provider. To use this function, please confirm the IPTV service configuration with the service provider.
Note:
Confirm whether the broadband service provided by the operator supports the IPTV function and it should be configured in either custom mode or bridge mode. There are no specific requirements for the service provider. As long as the service provider supports IPTV functionality, it can be used. Currently, this functionality is mainly supported by telecom broadband, using an IPTV set-top box to watch TV. (Some service providers' IPTV set-top boxes can be directly connected to the LAN port. Please consult the service provider's customer service for confirmation before using.)
