Why are there scratches on the lens of the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW300?
This scratch is not a cosmetic defect. It is a weld line and does not affect the functionality of the camera. The plastic is in a liquid state under high temperatures and pressure. When plastic flows from the mold gate and passes through a porous location, it is blocked by the mold to form two fluid streams. These streams merge again to form such a line. The direction of this line is circular around the gate and cannot be completely avoided in the manufacturing process. Weld lines can be easily mistaken for cracks visually, but actually, they are not a quality issue. Hence, please feel free to use it.
