Why does the TDS value displayed by Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro deviate from the value tested with a TDS pen?

A: The TDS pen and the TDS probe of the Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro are calibrated using a similar water quality analyzer. Theoretically, the TDS values of the same water should be close to each other, and if there is a deviation, it may have something to do with the testing method.
1. If air bubbles are hanging on the probe when using the TDS pen to measure water, the measured results may have a deviation from the actual value;
2. The TDS pen is generally tested static water, the Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro measured water in a flowing state, so there will be some deviation;
3. If the Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro measures tap water at the same time, the value measured by the Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser is the value filtered by the PPC cartridge, which is generally lower than the TDS value of the tap water measured;
4. If the Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro has not been used for a long time, the initial TDS value of the water has changed a lot, and the value displayed by the TDS pen and the device in real time may be biased;
5. The general deviation of 10% or less is a normal phenomenon.
Tips:
It is recommended to use the method of measurement on the instructions of the test pen when using the TDS pen to measure the TDS value of water.
