What should I do if Xiaomi Smart Humidifier 2 fails to be connected with Mi Home App?

1. Check if the WiFi passwords entered for connecting are correct. There shall be no Chinese characters in WiFi username or special characters such as @¥% in passwords; otherwise, please reset the account and password to numbers and letters in English, and then try again;

2. Check whether the router is connected with the external network properly, and whether the webpage can be opened smoothly on the mobile phone or PC connected to the WiFi;

3. Check if the distance between the router and the humidifier is too far (beyond the range of 5 meters or with a partition wall in the middle); if so, you can try to move the router to a place within 1~2 meters from the humidifier and try to reconnect it;

4. You can use your mobile phone as a WIFI hotspot and connect it with another mobile phone. If they can be connected properly, refer to (3)

 to perform troubleshooting. If the equipment fails to connect with hotspot, you can contact us for after-sales services;

5. Check if the router is connected to many devices, which may cause the network to be jammed or the router to be unresponsive. You can restart the router

 and try again;

6. The current humidifier is incompatible with EAP 802.1x networks, 5G signal networks or public WiFi networks that require web authentication, such as CMCC, ChinaUnicom, etc.; you need to swap the network and try to connect with it;

7. The connection failure may also be attributable to the mobile phone. It is recommended to use another mobile phone to try the link, or download Mi Home App again.

 Try upgrading to the latest version;

8. When you need to reconnect the humidifier, it is recommended to reset the humidifier’s WIFI and reconnect it. The humidifier can be reset in the method below: Press and hold the WiFi button for 3 seconds until you hear the beeping sound; when the WiFi indicator flashes, it is reset successfully; wait for it to be connected. Open the mobile APP to reconnect the equipment with the WiFi and bind the equipment.
