The Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Ultra Set automatically returns to the charging dock to recharge itself when a cleaning task is finished or the battery runs low. This feature not only saves your time and hassle but also ensures that the vacuum is ready for the next cleaning session.
If the robot vacuum doesn’t return to the charging dock, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Refine the placement of the charging dock to an open area. Ensure there are no obstructions within a 0.5m radius on either side and a 1.5m clearance in front of the dock;
2. Ensure no obstacles are blocking the path between the robot vacuum and the charging dock. This includes rugs, cords, furniture, or any other items that may obstruct its path;
3. The vacuum may have trouble detecting the charging dock if its sensors are dirty. Clean the sensors on the robot vacuum and the charging dock using a soft, dry cloth. Ensure that the charging contacts on both the robot vacuum and the charging dock are clean and free from debris;
4. Ensure the vacuum starts cleaning task from the charging port;
5. If the vacuum has been moved during the cleaning process, the robot can't return to the charging dock;
6. Check if the charging dock is properly connected to the power outlet. Make sure both ends of the charging dock and power cord are secured;
7. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve issues. Turn off the robot vacuum, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on;
8. As a last resort, please perform a factory reset. This will erase all saved settings.
