If the Mi Wireless Switch can’t be connected to Mi Home app, please refer to the following steps:
1. Please ensure that the Mi Wireless Switch is compatible with the Mi Home app. Some devices may not be supported by certain versions of the app or may require firmware updates for compatibility;
2. Please make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. The Mi Wireless Switch requires a working internet connection to connect to the Mi Home app;
3. Please ensure that you have the latest version of the Mi Home app installed on your device by going to [App Store/Play Store] >> Search for [Mi Home app] >> [Check for updates]. Sometimes, outdated app versions may have compatibility issues with newer devices;
4. Please close the Mi Home app completely and restart it. Additionally, restarting your smartphone or tablet will clear any temporary glitches;
5. Please confirm that the Mi Wireless Switch is in pairing mode. Typically, this involves pressing and holding a specific button on the switch until it enters pairing mode, indicated by a blinking light or other visual cue;
6. If the switch still cannot be connected, consider resetting it to its factory settings. Please push in and hold the reset hole on the device for 3 seconds. The indicator will flash 3 times before resetting to factory settings;
7. If you are using a hub or gateway with the Mi Wireless Switch, please ensure that it is properly connected to your network and functioning correctly. Sometimes, connectivity issues with the hub can prevent devices from being added to the app.
We hope the above information is helpful. If the issue still occurs, please submit feedback by open the Mi Home app, and go to [Mi Wireless Switch] >> [Three dots at the upper right corner] >> [Help & Feedback] >> [Feedback]. After submitting the feedback, please have some patience and wait for future updates.
