[FAQ] The watch can’t receive messages from the smartphone

A: The principle of message notification is as follows:
When the Mi Fitness App maintains a Bluetooth connection with your watch, it will send notifications from the status bar of your smartphone to your watch to remind you that your smartphone has new messages. When the notification message is not displayed in the status bar, even if the smartphone’s application receives a new message, the phone will not send the message to your watch.
If you can’t receive notifications from the phone, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Make sure your smartphone's network is well connected, Bluetooth is on and connected to your watch properly;
2. Make sure notification messages can be displayed in the notification bar;
3. Check whether the APP notifications option is turned on in the app;
4. Check if your watch is in DND mode or Sleep mode. When you receive a new message during the scheduled period, your watch will not vibrate;
5. If your phone is on Android, it is recommended to enable background running permission to ensure that the app runs in the background.
