At present, when most mobile phones are connected to the computer, a "USB configuration mode" prompt will pop up in the notification bar or at the bottom of the screen. There are three modes to choose from: MTP (transfer all files), PTP (transfer photos or videos), and charge only.
The mass storage mode is a transmission scheme of Android 5.0 and earlier versions. Since the mobile phone cannot use the relevant storage space normally during transmission, it was quickly replaced by the MTP mode.
Notes:
MTP mode requires Windows 7 or higher versions and is compatible with most newer versions of macOS. For the operating system of the early computer, it may be necessary to install the relevant driver or software separately before it can be connected and used normally.
