3.Q: Requirements of Mi Band 3 on devices (mobile phones)

A: Mobile phones installed with Android 4.4, iOS 9.0, or above versions that support Bluetooth 4.0.

4.Q: Does Mi Band 3 have radiation? Dose Mi Band 3 harm the human body if the user wears it for a long time?

A: Mi Band 3 is made with a low-power consumption Bluetooth chip. Its radiation is much lower than that of a Bluetooth headset, and its signal strength is less than one thousandth of that of a mobile phone. After more than ten years of studies and surveys, the World Health Organization finds that Bluetooth signals will not do any harm to the human body. Therefore, please be rest assured to use the product.

5. Q: Wrist strap material of Mi Band 3

A: The wrist strap of Mi Band 3 is made of thermoplastic elastomer, and the wrist buckle is made of aluminum.

6.Q: What material and technology are used in the principal part of Mi Band 3?

A: The principal part of Mi Band 3 is made of polycarbonate and ABS engineering plastic, and the surface is covered with a scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint coating. The display material is made with double-injection and UV coating technologies. It has excellent leveling and anti-steel wool abilities, and the overall black appearance is extremely beautiful. The back side of Mi Band 3 is covered by a skin-like matte surface to keep close to the skin as much as possible.

7.Q: Can the principal part of Mi Band 3 be disassembled? How to disassemble it?

A: Unlike the fixation of most bands, Mi Band 3 adopts a solution that allows the principal part to be dismantled.

Installation:

1. Insert one end of the principal part of the band into the slot on the wrist strap.

2. Press firmly on the other end to make the entire principal part of the band enter the slot and secure it.

Disassembly: Remove the band, give a strong pull at both ends of the wrist strap to make a small gap between the principal part of the band and the slot of the wrist strap, and then use fingers to remove the principal part of the band from the front side of the wrist strap.

8.Q: How does Mi Band 3 detect workout data?

A: Mi Band 3 uses an ultra-low-power acceleration sensor and motion algorithms to analyze the data collected and ultimately present accurate and easy-to-read workout information.

9.Q: What is 50m water resistance (5ATM)?

A: 50m water resistance refers to the waterproof depth of the band under standard conditions. Such conditions mean that the band has a certain extent of resistance to water pressure under stationary state. The pressure resistance value is not obtained under water, but based on a conversion of atmospheric pressure. The value of 50m water resistance indicates that the band can withstand the pressure of 50 meters under water under stationary state (5 atmospheres of pressure, or 5ATM).

Notes: 1 standard atmospheric pressure (ATM) = 101.325kPa (kpa)

10.Q: Does it support to wear Mi Band 3 to bathe or swim?

A: Mi Band 3 has a water resistant rating of 5ATM, and it can be worn in a shower, swimming

in the pool, and swimming in shallow waters. However, it is not suggested to wear it during a sauna or diving. The touch button and touch screen of the band do not support underwater operations. When the band get wet, please wipe the surface with a soft cloth before proceeding.

11.Q: How to charge Mi Band 3?

A: It is suggested to use the dedicated charging cable to charge Mi Band 3 (Remove the principal part of the band, insert the end with two metal contacts into the dedicated charging cable, and be sure to keep the touch screen side up). After the principal part is installed, connect the charging cable to a computer USB port or a mobile phone charger with a voltage of 5V and an output current of over 250mA. The band itself limits the input current, so don't have to worry about any damage.

12.Q: How long does it take to charge Mi Band 3?

A: It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge Mi Band 3. If the band is charged for more than 3 hours, please check whether the charger (e.g., a USB hub) conforms to the specification (a voltage of 5V and an output current of over 250mA). In addition, please make sure to align the charging pins of the band with the ones on the charger. During charging, tap the touch button to view the charging progress.

13.Q: What is the battery capacity of Mi Band 3? How long can I use after it is fully charged?

A: The battery capacity is 110mAh. The band can generally be used for 20 days after it is fully charged. Standards for the 20-day standby time: With factory default settings, the band is tested when it receives and displays 50 notifications per day, vibrates 5 seconds for each alarm, taps the button to display 10 times, performs other operations for 2 minutes, manually measures heart rate 3 times, exercises 1 hour per week (detect the real-time heart rate when entering the running function and turn off the heart rate alert), and starts the Zepp Life app to synchronize data once a day.] In actual use, the battery life is related to various factors such as the settings, operation, and use environment, which may differ from laboratory data.

14. Q: Can Mi Band 3 be charged with a portable power source? Why?

A: Portable power sources are mainly designed for mobile phones, and their charging current is about 1A. When a mobile phone is fully charged, it will enter the trickle charging state and the charging current will become extremely low. Some portable power sources even turn off the charging to save power. The charging current of the band is relatively low, because of which some portable power sources mistakenly assume that the band is fully charged and thus turn off the charging.

Notes: Mobile power sources that support low current charging can be used.

15. Q: Do I have to wait for the battery to be fully used up before charging the band?

A: Mi Band 3 is made with alithium polymer battery. It doesn't have the memory effect of nickel-cadmium batteries, so it can be charged whenever needed. It is recommended to charge the band when the battery power is low. When the battery power is low, the Zepp Life app will prompt to charge the band and the band will also vibrate to remind the owner.

16.Q: Why doesn't the screen show charging when the band has been connected to a charger?

A: 1) Firstly, please make sure that the USB port (of a PC or other power supply devices) can supply power normally, and try again with the USB charging cable of Mi Band 3 or replace the USB port of the power supply device.
