Thank you for purchasing Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service for Your Xiaomi Mobile Device (“Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service” or the “Service”). The Service supports smartphones and tablets (supported models are as available on the <Xiaomi Care SG Website>) hereinafter referred to as the (“Mobile Device”). The Service is provided by Xiaomi Electronics Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xiaomi” or the “Company”). Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully. Your purchase of Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service shall be deemed as your acknowledgment and agreement to all Terms and Conditions herein.
1. Definitions
a) BER: ‘Beyond Economic Repairs’ means cost of a repair is greater than 100% of the recommended retail price (RRP) of the Mobile Device, which should be evaluated and determined by the Xiaomi exclusive service center at their sole and final discretion.
b) Device RRP: The full recommended retail price (RRP) of the Mobile Device when the devices were listed in the market.
c) Device Purchase Date: The date the device is purchased from Xiaomi Stores.
d) Device Delivery Date: The date the device is delivered to the customer for purchases made on Xiaomi Online Store.
e) Extended Warranty: The extension of the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty on Mobile Device for a period of twelve (12) months. The Extended Warranty Service commences on the next day after 12 or 24 months from Device Purchase/ Device Delivery date and it covers repairing of inherent mechanical and electrical defects and/or failure of the Mobile Device, subject to the relevant Terms and Conditions contained in the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty and the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
f) Immediate Family Member: Your spouse and/or children residing with you in the same household.
g) Mobile Device: Smartphones and Tablets, models as specified on the <Xiaomi Care SG website>, which should be for personal use only and not to be used for commercial, rental, or profit generation purposes.
h) Original Manufacturer’s Warranty: The original warranty given by Xiaomi in respect of a Mobile Device.
i) Original Manufacturer's Warranty Period: The uninterrupted period of the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty covers as stated on the official Original Manufacturer’s Warranty certificate or publication.
j) You/Your: The customer of this Service.
2. Scope of Service
During the service period of the Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service, You may visit Xiaomi’s exclusive service centers at the following address to enjoy the benefits set out at sections 2.1 and 2.2 below (prior appointment booking is required):

2.1. Extended Warranty Service (“EW Service”)
You are entitled to unlimited repair requests or one (1) BER replacement, both exclusively for inherent mechanical and electrical defects and/or failure of the Mobile Device that fall under the scope of the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty (excluding damage or failures caused by other reasons such as accidental damage or liquid damage). The EW Service will be for a period of twelve (12) months and begins the day after the initial Original Manufacturer’s Warranty Period of either 12 or 24 months, whichever a pplicable, from the Device Purchase/ Device Delivery date (“Extended Warranty service period”). Subject to the following conditions:
2.1.1 Repairs must be performed exclusively by a Xiaomi exclusive service center.
2.1.2 The Mobile Device must:
a) have been purchased new in Singapore and enrolled in the Service within 60 days from the Device Purchase Date;
b) have been manufactured/ distributed in Singapore or legally imported into Singapore;
c) have been sold through Xiaomi’s authorized dealer/ distributor supported by an official invoice and Original Manufacturer’s Warranty;
d) have been used for personal use only and not for commercial, rental, or profit generation purposes; and
e) have been used in accordance with Xiaomi’s guidelines for Mobile Device usage at all times including but not limited to regular maintenance and upkeep of the Mobile Device;
f) have been mainly used by You and Your Immediate Family Member, and have been in Your possession (or Immediate Family Member as relevant) only.
g) have not been modified;
2.1.3 Any previous repair to the Mobile Device must:
a) have been performed in Singapore; and
b) have been performed by a Xiaomi exclusive service center.
2.1.4 The Original Manufacturer’s Warranty must remain valid throughout the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty Period and not been voided or affected by any action by You.
2.1.5 In performing EW Service repair, Xiaomi shall have the option in its sole discretion, and without prejudice to the Terms and Conditions of this EW Service, to replace the Mobile Device with a like-for-like model (in the case of BER). The replaced Mobile Device (the defect unit) shall be returned to Xiaomi and will become a property of Xiaomi. In this case, You agree that the replaced Mobile Device (the defect unit) and its ownership shall belong to Xiaomi after the replacement and Xiaomi may dispose such replaced Mobile Device in a manner deemed suitable by Xiaomi. You will be solely responsible for backing up and restoring any data You may have from the replaced Mobile Device to the replacement Mobile Device, where relevant. Xiaomi shall not be responsible for any loss of data or leakage of personal information or data on Your Mobile Device.
2.1.6 The EW Service becomes valid only after the expiry date of the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty.
The customers who purchase the Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service will receive a 12-months Extended Warranty and a complimentary 24-months Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage (ADLD) device insurance coverage, underwritten by Allianz Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. The ADLD insurance allows up to four (4) claims within the 24-months protection period, which begins the day after Device Purchase or Device Delivery date. Each claim includes repair coverage up to Device RRP or one (1) BER Replacement. A deductible payment is required for each ADLD claim. Please refer to <Xiaomi Care SG Website> for the full Terms and Conditions of the complimentary ADLD device insurance.
2.2. Battery Replacement Service (“Battery Replacement”)
For Mobile Devices with one (1) year Original Manufacturer’s Warranty, You are entitled to request for a battery replacement during the twelve (12) months Extended Warranty service period when the battery capacity of Your Mobile Device to hold an electric charge is less than eighty (80%) of the battery’s original specification.
For Mobile Device with two (2) years Original Manufacturer’s Warranty, You are entitled to request for a battery replacement during the twelve (12) months Extended Warranty service period when the battery capacity of the Mobile Device to hold an electric charge is less than sixty (60%) of the battery’s original specification.
3. The service period of Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service

4. Circumstances not covered by the Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service
The following circumstances, losses or expenses, are not covered by the Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service:
4.1 Damage to the Mobile Device caused by Your intentional or negligent behavior, including accidental damage or liquid damage
4.2 Wear, Damage or Loss to the accessories or consumables that do not affect the basic functions of the Mobile Device, such as memory cards, earphones, charging equipment, data cables, writing pens, etc.;
4.3 Computer or mobile phone viruses, other malicious codes or similar instructions that damage the normal functions of the Mobile Device or cause damage or failure of Mobile Device data and programs;
4.4 Defects in the appearance of the Mobile Device and/or cosmetic damages, such as peeling paint, scratches, fading, etc.;
4.5 Loss and damage of data, programs and software not required for the basic functions of the Mobile Device;
4.6 If the model of the Mobile Device mismatches with Xiaomi’s record;
4.7 If the IMEI no. of the Mobile Device were altered, missing, unrecognizable or mismatch with Xiaomi’s record;
4.8 If the Mobile Device has been disassembled, repaired or replaced by an unauthorized repairer;
4.9 If the entire Mobile Device is lost due to theft, robbery, loss, etc.;
4.10 Service request not within service period;
4.11 Wars, hostilities, military acts, armed conflicts, strikes, riots, riots, terrorist activities, administrative or judicial acts;
4.12 Typhoon, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption or tsunami, nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination;
4.13 You fail to pay the applicable deductible for the service request;
4.14 The Mobile Device is used for commercial use, shared use, for-profit use or used among multiple families;
4.15 Any defects that are subject of Xiaomi’s product recall;
4.16 Any failure of the Mobile Device to operate because of problems with respect to the network infrastructure, Your network subscription or similar service issues;
4.17 Epidemic failure for faults from a common cause or component exceeding 5% of covered devices;
4.18 Losses occurring outside Singapore;
4.19 Repairs and expenses that exceed the coverage scope included in the Service;
4.20 Personal injury and/or property loss and/or loss of any economic benefit to You or any other person caused by the Mobile Device
4.21 Any litigation, arbitration and related expenses incurred by You in connection with these Terms and Conditions
5. Other Key Conditions
5.1 When Your Mobile Device fails to function due to inherent mechanical or electrical defects, You can call Xiaomi’s service hotline above to make an appointment for repair service. When applying for repairs, you are required to provide the purchaser’s information (such as purchaser’s name and contact number) and the Mobile Device information (brand, model, serial number) bound to the EW Service.
5.2 The extension of the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty on Mobile Device for a period of twelve (12) months. The Extended Warranty Service commences on the next day after 12 or 24 months from Device Purchase/ Device Delivery date and it covers repairing of inherent mechanical and electrical defects and/or failure of the Mobile Device, subject to the relevant Terms and Conditions contained in the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty and the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
5.3 After You apply for repair service, You need to bring Your Mobile Device to Xiaomi exclusive service center at the designated appointment time instructed through the hotline. If You miss the scheduled appointment time, You need to call the hotline to re-apply for repair and make a new appointment in advance, and bring Your Mobile Device to Xiaomi exclusive service center at the scheduled appointment time.
5.4 During the EW Service process, if it is detected that the Mobile Device has been disassembled or modified by any non-Xiaomi designated repairer, Xiaomi will not be able to provide You with any services and will not refund the relevant fees for purchasing the EW Service.
5.5 After the repair is completed, You will be notified to go to the Xiaomi Exclusive Service Center to pick up the Mobile Device.
5.6 Before sending Your Mobile Device for repair, please make sure to turn off the Xiaomi Cloud service and cancel the Mobile Device's power-on password or usage password, otherwise it may affect the repair service. In addition, we cannot ensure the safety of the data in Your Mobile Device during the repair process. You are required to back up or delete important data, documents, photos, etc. in advance. You are solely responsible for any data loss or disclosure of personal information on your mobile device resulting from insufficient backup or prior deletion.
5.7 Xiaomi retains ownership of all spare parts that are removed, repaired, or replaced during the Service process.
5.8 If Xiaomi reasonably suspects that fraud or any fraudulent activity has occurred in relation to the Service request, it reserves the right, at its in performing EW Service repair, to refuse to proceed with the repair or any related service.
6. Return and transfer of Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service
6.1 You may request a refund for Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service only if you return your device within the free return period, receive a device refund, have not used any service benefits and have not utilized the complimentary ADLD insurance.
6.2 If You have used any service benefits, there will be no refund provided in any circumstances.
6.3 This EW Service plan is only valid for the Mobile Device You enrolled upon subscription. This EW Service plan may only be purchased within 60 days from device activation date, which is the day you purchase your device. This EW Service is not assignable or transferable to another device, for any reason, other than in the cases set out in these Terms and Conditions.
6.4 The EW Service plan is transferable to another device only in the following events:
a) the Mobile Device received from Xiaomi was Dead on Arrival (DOA) and was replaced by Xiaomi;
b) the Mobile Device was replaced by Xiaomi due to its non-repairable state or BER state;
c) the Mobile Device was replaced by Xiaomi under the terms of the complimentary ADLD device insurance group policy underwritten by Allianz Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd.
6.5 For these purposes, “DOA” or “dead on arrival” refers to a Mobile Device (i) being purchased and not taken immediately from a physical outlet and which is later delivered to You; (ii) upon delivery is found to be completely inoperative; and (iii) is immediately returned to the manufacturer for replacement.
6.6 The Mobile Device model and IMEI number will be updated accordingly for the above scenarios.
7. Termination of Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service
In any of the following circumstances, the "Xiaomi Care Extended Warranty Service" will be terminated:
7.1 The EW Service expires upon the completion of the designated service period.
7.2 If Your Mobile Device is repaired or replaced by a repairer not designated by Xiaomi.
7.3 If Your Mobile Device has received one (1) replacement device under the EW Service benefit, the relevant EW Service benefit will be terminated.
7.4 If it is found that You have intentionally damaged the Mobile Device under the EW Service, the EW Service will be automatically terminated and the Company will not refund any fees.
8. Personal Data Collection Statement
When You purchase the EW Service and apply for repair service, You agree to Xiaomi’s collection of Your personal information including but not limited to Your name, Mobile Number, Email Address, Delivery Address, Xiaomi ID, Mobile Device related information (such as IMEI, model, etc.), service order information (such as deductible, effective time, start and end period, etc.), application for maintenance information (such as device malfunction, malfunction parts, fault description, repair materials details, Mobile Device malfunction pictures, total fees, etc.), etc., to provide You with the corresponding services You choose. We respect and protect Your personal privacy and will protect Your information in accordance with Xiaomi's unified privacy policy available at https://www.mi.com/sg/about/privacy/.
You also agree that part of Your information above may be disclosed, shared, divulged, supplied or transferred to affiliates or third party service providers within or outside Singapore (including but not limited to Mobile Device repairers, insurance brokers, insurance companies, insurance service providers etc.), in order to provide You with benefits included in Your subscription including customer communication and related customer surveys. Please be assured that we will only share Your information for legitimate and specific purposes.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The construction, interpretation and meaning of the provisions of the EW Service shall be determined in accordance with Singapore laws and any disputes arising out of and in connection the EW Service shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Singapore.

1.What is Xiaomi Care Protection Service?
Xiaomi Care Protection Service is an extended warranty service plan upon expiry of Original Manufacturer’s Warranty, and with a complimentary Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage device insurance coverage underwritten by Allianz Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd., exclusively for Xiaomi customers who have purchased a new Xiaomi Mobile Device. Xiaomi Care Protection Service is only applicable in Singapore, and the Xiaomi Care Protection Service can only be enjoyed in the respective region of purchase. 5.When my Mobile Device is accidentally damaged, how can I repair it?
When Your Mobile Device has encountered an accidental or liquid damage, please bring along Your device to Xiaomi’s Exclusive Service Center for inspection and repair within 14 days from the incident date.
Under the Complimentary Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage device insurance coverage underwritten by Allianz Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. , You are entitled to a total of four (4) claims during the total protection period 24 months (limited to two (2) claims per year). Coverage commences from the next day after the Device Purchase/ Device Delivery date. With each claim repair up to RRP or one (1) BER Replacement.

In the event that Xiaomi Exclusive Service Center decides that the Mobile Device is irreparable, or the cost of repair is beyond economic repair (BER), You shall be entitled to one (1) replacement. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for detailed information.
9.Will personal data be lost after the repair?
Your are responsible for creating a backup of all personal data on Your Xiaomi Mobile Device before proceeding with repairs. Additionally, ensure that You log out of Your Xiaomi account and clear any local data. Please note that Xiaomi is not responsible for any loss of personal data on Your device once You have handed over Your device for servicing.
10.After purchasing the Xiaomi Care Protection Service, if the Mobile Device is replaced under the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty, will this affect the use of the service?
For Mobile Devices purchased through Xiaomi Store and Xiaomi Online Store with Xiaomi Care Protection Service subscription, the Xiaomi Care Protection Service purchased for the original device will be automatically transferred to the new replacement device, ensuring uninterrupted access to this service.
11.After utilizing the Complimentary Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage device insurance within the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty period, can I still enjoy Original Manufacturer's Warranty?
Following the use of the Complimentary Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage device insurance benefit within the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty period, customers may still enjoy the benefits of the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty.
12.Can the Xiaomi Care Protection Service be withdrawn or transferred?
The Xiaomi Care Protection Service cannot be withdrawn or transferred unless otherwise mentioned in the Terms and Conditions.
