What does a dedicated network mean in a Wi-Fi 7 router?

In Xiaomi Router BE3600 and subsequent Wi-Fi 7 models, the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home APP has introduced a dedicated network module.
For your reference, here are more details about this feature:
1. The dedicated network is divided into two parts: IoT-exclusive network and guest Wi-Fi. When the IoT-exclusive network is enabled, the router will release an additional IoT Wi-Fi signal, one 2.4G Wi-Fi and one 5G Wi-Fi;
2. This is designed for older IoT devices that do not support the 802.11ax or higher Wi-Fi protocols, aiming to resolve the connectivity issues that some older IoT devices faced with Wi-Fi. Previously, the solution was to enable Wi-Fi 5 compatibility mode, however, now you can turn on the IoT-exclusive network to fix the problem.
3. The purpose of the IoT-exclusive network is to provide a separate network, with separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and can be synchronized across mesh nodes. It mainly serves IoT devices and resolves several issues.
For your reference, the issues are listed below:
1. Incompatibility with Wi-Fi 7;
2. Incompatibility with dual-band integration;
3. IoT devices cannot connect to guest networks or sub-nodes;
4. The IoT-exclusive network allows for customization of the Wi-Fi name and password.
