Face recognition unlock failure
Solution:
1. Check if the light environment is dark when unlocking, try changing to another area.
2. Confirm whether the face is too close or too far away from the phone when unlocking. Too close will lead to incomplete viewfinder, and too far will cause the face image to be too small to meet the comparison requirements.
3. Confirm whether the face is unlocked with eyes closed. At present, neither the development version nor the stable version can be unlocked with closed eyes.
4. Confirm whether the face has changed a lot (dark makeup, wearing glasses); since the face unlock is compared with the face at the time of input, if the face has changed a lot later, there will be a large probability of unlock failure, it is recommended to check whether the change is too large when entering (dark makeup, glasses, etc.).
5. Check the front camera for dirt. It is recommended to try after wiping the front camera.
6. Confirm whether the toughened film used in the mobile phone is a top-hole digging; for example, some models are infrared face unlocks. The unlocked images are formed on the infrared camera. The photos formed will be compared with the previously entered faces to determine whether they match. If the location of the tempered film infrared camera is a hole, the edge of the via will cause the infrared rays to deflect, which will cause the imaging changes to be different from the input face, which will cause unlocking failure. It is recommended to use a tempered film that can expose the components on the top of the phone. Do not use a toughened film. (Take Mi 8 as an example)
7. Confirm that "Allow detection of faces when the notification is bright" is on. Some are unable to unlock their faces when the screen is bright because this option is not turned on. After entering the face data, go to Settings >> Lock Screen, Password and Fingerprint >> Face Data Management, turn on "Allow detection of faces when notification is on the screen", and it will increase power consumption after turning on.
8. Confirm if this happens by accident. If the accidental unlocking is unsuccessful, it is recommended to retry the lock screen or switch the face unlock again.
