Solution:
Link Xiaomi device with Google Assistant
After your device is connected to your Xiaomi Home app, to use Xiaomi Smart devices with Google Assistant, you need to link your Xiaomi account to it.
1. Download the Google Assistant app. In the Google Assistant App, click on the menu button on the right-hand corner click on the three dots, and click settings.
2. In the settings, you can find “Home Control” in services. Tap home control, and then the “＋” in the lower right corner.
3. In Add devices page, there will be a list of supported apps, browse to the beginning of “M” and select Xiaomi Home. Your phone browser will open and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.
4. After your Xiaomi account is linked and completed, you can see Xiaomi Home list in the Home control page. Now, you can control your devices in the Google Assistant app or by voice.
Set up Google Home
1. Plug in Google Home to a power outlet.
2. Install the Google Home app, and make sure to connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network that you intend to use to set up your Google Home device.
3. Use your Google account to sign in, and start scanning for a new device. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up. You need to allow Google to access your location in order to use the device.
4. Once the setup is completed, tap “Home control” in “Menu” and it will jump directly to Google Assistant, where you can send command to control your smart home devices.
