Function introduction:
Reverse charging charge other devices through the phone's charging port.
By matching the USB-OTG cable, the micro-USB port or USB Type-C port of the mobile phone can be extended to a standard USB-A female port, thus allowing other mobile phones, digital products and other devices to be charged.
Note:
1. The reverse charging function first requires the support of the USB-OTG function and also requires the use of a special OTG cable. So in theory it can be understood that all mobile phones that support OTG function support reverse charging function.
2. Different phones have different OTG output performance, and it may happen that some phones cannot charge when using OTG to connect to another phone, or show charging status but the power level drops instead of rising. This is caused by the OTG power supply not being able to meet the minimum charging requirements of the other phone, thus preventing true charging.
3. If there is a high demand for reverse charging, it is recommended to purchase a model that can consistently achieve a higher current transfer.
4. If both phones support OTG function, both support reverse charging function, the phone connected with the USB-OTG adapter cable will be the output and the other phone will receive the charge.
5. If both phones have a USB Type-C port, it is theoretically possible to use a USB C To USB C (dual-ended Tyep-C cable) for reverse charging. However, as the USB C To USB C cable does not go through an OTG chip, when using a dual-head Type-C cable for reverse charging. If both phones support the OTG function, there may be a random selection of charging and charged ends (i.e. Phone A and Phone B, possibly Phone A charging Phone B and possibly Phone B charging Phone A). It is generally not recommended to use such a cable for reverse charging operations.
6. The reverse charging function is not directly related to the current remaining battery level of the two phones, even if the battery level of phone A is lower than that of phone B, it is possible to reverse charge phone B via the OTG adapter cable.
