Pulse sensor

Introduction

The pulse sensor is mainly used in medical equipment to detect the heart rate. The common types are mainly photoelectric, there are two kinds of discrete and integrated, and the emission part uses visible light and infrared.

Main classification

Pulse sensors are divided into: infrared pulse sensors, heart rate pulse sensors, photoelectric pulse sensors, wrist pulse sensors, digital pulse sensors, heart sound pulse sensors, and integrated pulse sensors, etc. Among the Xiaomi products that use this sensor, the more representative ones are: Mi Smart Band, etc., to measure the accurate heart rate and pulse value.

Infrared sensor

Using the sensitive characteristics of infrared rays of a specific wavelength to the changes in blood volume generated by the blood microcirculation at the end of the blood vessel, it detects the blood changes at the fingertips caused by the beating of the heart, and processes them through signal amplification, adjustment and other circuits. Among them, SON1303 outputs a pulse signal synchronized with the pulse beating to calculate the pulse rate, and SON7015 outputs a complete pulse wave voltage signal reflecting the change of fingertip blood volume. It is mainly used in clinical pulse rate measurement, monitoring and pathological analysis of pulse wave.
