The Home surveillance feature on Xiaomi Smart Cameras is a cloud-based alert system designed to notify you of important events happening at home. It uses intelligent detection to record short video clips when motion, sounds, or specific activities are sensed, and sends these alerts directly to your phone via the Xiaomi Home App.
To set up Home surveillance, please refer to the following steps:
Open the Xiaomi Home App >> tap the device card >> tap the three-dot icon >> [Home surveillance settings] >> enable [Home surveillance] >> you can set the [Monitoring time], [Alarm interval], [Event notifications type], and so on.

Without a Xiaomi Home Secure subscription, Home surveillance records 9-second video clips.
