VO2 max stands for the maximum volume of oxygen uptake measured during incremental exercise at maximal effort. It is a key indicator of aerobic fitness and cardiovascular endurance expressed in milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body weight per minute (ml/kg/min). The Mi Fitness app uses VO2 max data to track changes in your fitness level over time. It’s useful for setting and achieving fitness goals.
Please refer to the following two levels categorized in the Mi Fitness app as a fitness benchmark for your convenience:
1. If the VO2 max is outstanding, it indicates that your aerobic capacity is excellent and you have a high level of cardiovascular fitness;
2. If the VO2 max is very poor, it typically suggests that your cardiovascular fitness level is lower than the average. This indicates that you may need to focus on improving your cardiovascular health through regular exercise and other lifestyle changes.
