Function Description:
At present, many applications have supported AR technology in various forms, such as the 3D effect that pops up when the Chinese New Year swipe character is swiped when Alipay AR swipes. However, the realization of these AR technologies follows the mobile phone and does not have spatiality.
For example, we use Alipay AR to scan the code to show a blessing villain. When we move the mobile phone, the villain will still remain in the same position on the screen. We cannot walk to the back of the villain with the mobile phone to see the style details of its clothes.
Google developed AR Core for this. ARCore has three functions: Motion Tracking, Environmental Understanding, and Light Estimation. It can detect the direction of mobile phone movement, identify environmental features such as floors or desktops, and adjust virtual space.
Software with AR Core can establish a fixed spatial range. Without AR Core, the software or game screen will have less positioning points, and the AR virtual screen will drift with the phone.
To sum up, AR games or software based on AR Core can create a space in the phone. We can put a virtual writing desk in the AR environment, then look down at the right angle design at the lower part of the desk with the mobile phone, and walk to the back of the virtual desk to see the size of the opening on the back of the desk.
We can also leave this room with a mobile phone, and the virtual table will remain in the previous room and will not move with the movement of the mobile phone.
At present, Xiaomi MIX 2S has been adapted and built-in AR Core.

Replenish:
AR Core is a basic support library. After installation, there will be no user-startable icons, portals, etc. in the system. However, for software made based on AR Core, the AR Core App is necessary. Without this App, these software will be Can not run.
For all Android phones, AR Core can be installed and used if the following conditions are met:
1.The Android version is higher than Oreo (8.0) (some brands can also support Android 7.0, such as Google Pixel)
2. The model and system package have passed Google's adaptation and certification for AR
3. The camera meets Google AR Core requirements

Note:
If the mobile phone has built-in AR Core framework, and the current system complies with Google’s adaptation and certification for AR, even if the current system cannot access the Google Play app, you can directly use AR Core related applications (such as the MIX 2S of the mainland version of MIUI) . In this state, users can download and use AR Core-based software and games through channels such as the Xiaomi App Store.
If the requirements are not met, the mobile phone will not be able to search for AR Core applications using Google Play. For example, if a Google account has been downloaded on a mobile phone that supports AR Core before, AR Core applications will not be downloaded on a mobile phone that does not support AR Core.
