Function introduction:
Near-field communication (NFC), also known as close-range wireless communication, is a short-distance high-frequency wireless communication technology, which allows non-contact point-to-point data transmission between electronic devices to exchange data within ten centimetres.
NFC working mode and function:
1.Card mode: can replace a large number of IC card functions, such as shopping malls swipe cards, one card, access control, tickets, tickets and so on. This way, the card is powered by the radio frequency area of the contactless card reader. It can still bed used even if the host device, such as a mobile phone, is dead.
2.Point-to-point mode: this mode is similar to infrared ray, can be used for data exchange, but the transmission distance is short (≤ 10cm). The transmission creation speed is faster, but the transmission speed is slower than Bluetooth and infrared. The maximum theoretical transmission rate is 424kbps, and the power consumption is low. Linking two devices with NFC functions enables data point-to-point transmission, such as downloading music, exchanging pictures, or synchronizing device address books. As a result, information or services can be exchanged between multiple devices such as digital cameras, PDA, computers and mobile phones through NFC.
3.Card reader mode: used as a contactless card reader, such as reading relevant information from posters or exhibition information tags.
Note:
For the implementation of NFC function, in addition to the mobile phone hardware, it also requires the software and surrounding environment equipment support.
