Brief Introduction:
MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), is an extended protocol based on picture transfer protocol (Picture Transfer Protocol). PTP is only designed to download photos from digital cameras. MTP can support music files on digital audio players and media files on portable media players, as well as the transmission of personal information on digital devices.
MTP is part of the "Windows Media" framework, so the use of this protocol is closely related to Windows Media Player. Microsoft has originally supported the MTP protocol since Windows XP SP2, and has provided MTP drivers for installation for previous versions of the system. Currently, it can support this protocol on Windows Media Player 10 and later, and there are MTP protocol packages in MAC and Linux.
Mi Application:
Mi mobile phone uses built-in memory mobile phone. When connecting to the computer to read mobile phone memory MTP transmission protocol is used.
