What does DDR mean in RAM?

Function description:
1. DDR, or DDR SDRAM (Double Data Rate SDRAM), usually called DDR, means double rate synchronous dynamic random access memory (DRAM).
2. SDRAM transmits data only once in a clock cycle, it transmits data twice in a clock cycle, while DDR memory transmits data twice in a clock cycle, so it can transmit data once each during the rising and descending periods of the clock, which explains the double rate synchronous dynamic random access memory (DRAM).
3. DDR memory can achieve a higher data transfer rate at the same bus frequency as SDRAM.
Note:
LPDDR (Low Power DDR), also known as Mobile DDR, is a kind of DDR SDRAM, which is specially used in mobile electronic products. Applying the new technology, the operating voltage is reduced from 2.5 V to 1.8 V, which has the advantages of low power consumption and high reliability.
