This Review Rules is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions of mi.com and applies to the submission of all contents you submit to mi.com website and application (collectively, the “Platform”) that constitutes a review, rating, comment or image/video related to a product (“Review”). By submitting your comments or reviews, you agree to be bound by these rules set below and take full responsibility for the uploaded contents. If you do not agree to these rules, please do not submit your comments, reviews or any other statement to Xiaomi, on its Site or any other interactive platforms which belong to Xiaomi Group.
Eligibility and Conditions
Before submitting a review or comment, you must meet the following conditions:
1. You must have a Mi Account and sign up to the mi.com;
2. Initial feedback: You can only submit a review for a product that you have purchased yourself through the Platform within 30 days after the items in purchase orders are successfully delivered (each item can only be commented on once);
3. Additional comment: After initial comments are completed, and within 60 days after the items in orders are well delivered, users can make additional comments on the items in the order (if there is no main comment, there will be no additional comment entry).
4. Upon submitting your comments, reviews of Xiaomi Products, a proof of purchase may be requested at any time by Xiaomi before publishing your comments and/or reviews.
You agree that, when using or accessing the Site, Services or any other interactive platforms which belong to Xiaomi Group, you will not:
1. Violate any applicable law or regulation;
2. Interfere with or damage the Site, transmit or introduce to the Site or to other users thereof any viruses, cancel bots, Trojan horses, flood pings, denial of service attacks, or any other harmful code or processes;
3. Infringe the rights of any third party, including but not limited to any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights or contractual rights;
4. Transmit or submit harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, deceptive, fraudulent, obscene, indecent, vulgar, lewd, violent, hateful or otherwise objectionable content or material;
5. Transmit or submit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or spam;
6. Stalk or harass any user or visitor to the Site; or
7. Use the content, material or information available on the Site for any improper purpose.
8. You acknowledge and accept that you are solely responsible for any comments, reviews, you upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available to others using the Site, Services or any other interactive platform which belong to Xiaomi Group.
How to Manage Your Comment
Comment submission:
- Initial comment: My order > Review > To be reviewed
- Required fields: rating and feedback details
- Feedback details: no less than 15 characters
- Users can upload up to 5 photos and 1 video
- Additional comment: My order > Review > Reviewed
- Comment details: not less than 15 characters, up to 5 photos and 1 video
- Photos (uploaded/taken with camera): up to 5
- Photo details: it is recommended to mainly upload photos relevant to the items, and to avoid showing faces or exposed body parts, otherwise photos may not pass the review
- Video (uploaded/taken with camera): only 1
- Video details: it is recommended to mainly upload a video relevant to the items, and to avoid showing face or exposed body parts, otherwise the video may not pass the review
- Video duration: 5s – 15s
- Size limit: up to 30 MB
Comment deletion:
- My order > Review > Reviewed
- Select comments and click delete. Once the deletion is confirmed, it cannot be undone.
- Additional comments cannot be deleted separately, they must be deleted together with the main comments
- Once comments have been successfully submitted, they cannot be changed. They can only be deleted in the commented item list.
- If there are additional comments, they will be deleted simultaneously.
Prohibited Content
Xiaomi reserves the right to only accept accurate and objective comments, reviews related to the technical functionality and/or objective characteristics of official Xiaomi Products whose purchase were made on mi.com and/or through any other official channels including Mi shops. Reviews must not contain any content that is:
1. Garbled or blank text;
2. Politics & Sensitive Issues: Content that discusses or depicts government institutions, political figures, ideologies, or social movements in a non-constructive manner.
3. Pornography & Sexually Explicit Material: All forms of adult content, including nudity, sexual acts, sexually suggestive material, and obscene content. This also encompasses the sexualization of minors and non-consensual intimate imagery.
4. Illegal Acts & Regulated Goods: Content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates illegal activities or the trade of prohibited items. This includes but is not limited to drug abuse, weapons, gambling, piracy, and other activities banned by applicable laws.
5. Violence & Terrorism: Graphic depictions of violence, gore, abuse, or cruelty. Content that glorifies, supports, or provides instruction for terrorist acts, organized violence, or hate groups is also strictly forbidden.
6. Spam & Unauthorized Advertising: Unsolicited or deceptive commercial content. This includes spam, misleading advertisements, fraud, phishing attempts, and any form of unauthorized promotional activity.
7. Harassment & Abuse: Content intended to threaten, bully, shame, or harass individuals or groups. This includes personal attacks, defamation, hate speech, and the malicious exposure of private information (doxing).
8. Harmful Values & Ideologies: Content that promotes ideologies, beliefs, or activities that are deemed harmful to social order, public morality, or the platform's core values. This includes content that could incite discrimination, self-harm, or social discord.
9. Other contents containing excessive exposure of the human body, face or skin, or other irrelevant items.
To protect your own privacy safety, please do not provide any content that invades privacy or share your personal information, including but not limited:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Delivery address
- National Identification number
- Password
- Order number
Consequences for Violations
Violations of our rules make the product reviews less trustworthy, safe and useful. Xiaomi reserves the right to take any of the following actions, if someone violates the Rules:
1. Refuse or remove any comments and/or reviews that in violation of the Rules;
2. Deactivate or delete your registered Mi account or other information associated with you if you violate this terms and conditions once or repeatedly.
If your review is refused or removed, you will receive a notification stating:
- Your review submitted at [Date of Submission] for [Product Name] has been removed.
- Reason for Removal: a brief, specific reference to the violated rules (e.g., “contained Spam & Unauthorized Advertising content”)
- A link to the full Review Rules.
Tips for writing a good review
- Evaluate the product from 1 to 5 stars (5 stars = Excellent)
- Write about what most catches your attention and a detailed description
- Upload photos taken with or from your device
- You are free to choose if you want your opinion to be anonymous or not
