The following terms and conditions (hereinafter, the "Terms" or “Rules”) regulate the rules for participating in the Xiaomi skill Activity called "#OneStepAheaD” (hereinafter the "Activity") which is organized;
(Hereinafter, the "Activity Page").
Participation is voluntary and free of charge, except for internet costs, any other connection costs or any cost for a walking or running tracking app subscription.

(Hereinafter the “Activity Contact”).
By participating in the Activity, you are hereby accepting (i) the Activity’s present Rules as well as (ii) Xiaomi’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which can be consulted on your local mi.com and Mi Community websites.
(I) The Participants fully understand and acknowledge that the external social media platforms used in connection with the Activity - including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc- and third parties App used for Participant’s tracking, do not sponsor, endorse or administer this Activity and that they should not be associated with the organization and management of the Activity in any way.
(ii) In addition, Participants acknowledge and hereby accept that the applicable terms of use and privacy policies of the above-mentioned external social media platform and/or as any third party associated with the Activity shall also apply, in addition to the present Terms and policies.
The Activity is valid in Italy, Spain and the UK and for Participants residing in those Territories.
In order to participate in the Activity, the Participant must have the legal age of the Territory from which he/she participates and have the legal capacity according to the applicable laws of its place of residence.
The Participant must have a Mi account or be validly registered on local Mi.com. Participants can also download the Android Mi Store App (hereinafter the ”App”) and which Participants can find by clicking on the following link: //play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mi.global.shop or through the Activity Page.
(Hereinafter the “Participant(s)” or “You”).
Upon the Organizer’s request, Participant must be able to demonstrate at any time and, within a reasonable period, that he/she meets the necessary above-mentioned conditions to participate in the Activity.
The Organizer’s employees and/or their family members up to the second degree or any affiliates or company related to the organization or management of the Activity may not participate in the Activity.
Where Inaccurate or erroneous data are provided by the Participant, the Organizer reserves the right to reject or disqualify the Participant from the Activity and so without giving any reasons or notice.
The Activity will start on 00:00 Tuesday 20th April (Local time) 2021 and end on 23:59 Thursday 29th April (Local time) 2021. (“Activity Term”).
The Activity consists in a skill competition Participants will find on the Activity Page and in which Participants are invited to complete walking and/or running “routes” forming original shapes and sharing a screenshot of the route tracked on the Activity Page and/or the App (hereinafter the “Screenshot”). Participants will be eligible to obtain a Prize and/or Discount Coupons subject to the conditions described below.
In order to participate in the Activity, Participants will need to:
• Enter on the Activity Page and/or the App with their personal Mi Account.
• Participants need to submit the Screenshot in the Activity Page and/or the App. Participants will have from 00:00 20th April (Local time) 2021 to 23:59 28th April (Local time) 2021 to successfully submit the Screenshot (hereinafter the “Submitting Period”). Once finalized the Submitting Period, Participants will not be allowed to submit any Screenshot.
• To obtain the route Screenshot, Participants must:
i. Think of a route Participants can complete by running and/or walking and creating a shape (e.g. route with the shape of a heart). There are no limitations or specific requirements for Participants when completing the route.
ii. Participants can use any app which allows tracking Participants’ walking and/or running route (e.g. Mi Fit App).
iii. Once finalized the route, Participants need to make a screenshot of the route tracking map and submit the Screenshot on the Activity Page including: (i) Participant’s nickname; (ii) location; and (iii) the title of the Screenshot.
• Participants can upload maximum of six (6) Screenshots in the Activity Page and/or the App. However, please be aware that Participants can only be rewarded once (1).
• Participants will also be able to “Like” the Screenshots submitted by other Participants. There is no limit on the number of Likes Participants can give to other Screenshots.
Screenshot(s) requirements:
There will be TWO (2) different prizes categories: (i) “Main Prize” described below on section 7.1; and (ii) “Task-Based prize giveaway” described below on section 7.2.
From 00:00 (Local time), 29th April 2021 and end on 23:59 (Local time), 29th April 2021, a jury from the Organizer will select a total of THREE (3) Screenshots from the Screenshots submitted by the Participants (hereinafter, the “Winner” and/or “Winners”).
The selection criteria will be based on the creativity of the route, selecting the most original and achieved route shapes (e.g. the shape of a heart).
The Organizer will announce the Winners' nicknames and publish the winning Screenshots on Wednesday 29th April 2021 on the Activity Page.
The THREE (3) Winners will receive ONE (1) Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 (valued at £34.99) (hereinafter, the “Prize” and/or “Prizes”)
The Winners will automatically receive a coupon in their personal My Account to the value of the Prize to be redeemed by the Mi Smart Band 6 at local Mi.com. Winners must be registered with their local Mi.com in order to place an order for the Mi Smart Band 6 and redeem the coupon they have automatically received in their personal Mi Account to the value of the Prize.
Winners will have from 28th April 2021 to 31st May 2021 to redeem the coupon. Failure to redeem the coupon within this period will result in the Winners will lose the reward and the Prize will be forfeited.
The Prize will be shipped free of charge and under the terms and conditions of local mi.com.
The Organizer reserves the right to substitute the Prizes for others of equal value or characteristics, always informing of this circumstance in its means of communication. The Prizes corresponding to this Activity are not redeemable in cash and will be subject, where applicable, to the corresponding taxes and withholdings. Prizes may not be exchanged for any other gift or cash equivalent. Prizes are personal and non-transferable.
In order to obtain the Task Based Prize, Participants need to complete TWO (2) different tasks in order to get the chance of obtaining discount(s) coupon(s) (hereinafter “Discount Coupon”) to be redeemed in the purchase of selected Xiaomi products, following the conditions as described below:
i. FIRST TASK:
Participants just need to submit the Screenshots on the Activity Page and/or the App.
All Participants who successfully submit a Screenshot will automatically receive ONE (1) £5 Discount Coupon on their personal Mi Account:
ii. SECOND TASK:
Participants who receive at least TEN (10) Likes on their Screenshot at the Activity Page and/or the App during the participation Term will automatically receive ONE (1) £10 Discount Coupon on their personal Mi Account:
General conditions of the Discount Coupons
There will only be ONE (1) Discount Coupon per task for each Participant. Discount Coupons of both tasks are cumulative. This means that each Participant can receive maximum of TWO (2) Discount Coupons during the Activity Term if the conditions of each task are met.
The Discount Coupons are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in whole or in part.
If the order is cancelled, refused or returned, the Discount Coupons will become void and cannot be used again.
By participating in the Activity, Participants authorize the organizer to reproduce and make available to the public directly or through its web and/or its social networks, the nickname as well as the Screenshot awarded through any means, always in connection with the event and/or for promotional or advertising purposes related to the Activity.
The aforementioned authorization is granted free of charge and shall not entitle the Participants to any consideration whatsoever.
Participant in the Activity agree to provide their respective Organizer with the collection of the following personal data:
Unless otherwise expressly stated in this term, Organizer and its affiliated or third-party Organizers provide the Activity on best effort basis only and exclude all warranties and conditions of any kind whether expressly or implied. In particular but without limitation, Organizer and its affiliated or third-party Organizers do not warrant or represent that:
(i) The Activity is fit for any purpose or meet Participant requirements or is provided without any errors or deficiencies or that the Activity in compliance with any quality levels, as the case may be;
(ii) The Activity is available to Participant at any time and provided to Participant without disruption, interruption or delay;
(iii) Any information (whether oral or written) obtained by Participant from Organizer or as a result of Participant taking part in the Activity (including any materials or products) will be suitable, accurate, complete, or reliable; and
(iv) That any deficiencies in the Activity, including any defects in performance, operation or functionality of the Activity will be fixed, corrected or otherwise remedied.
Organizer is not liable to Participant, regardless of the legal grounds, in particular whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or any theory of liability, in or out of the connection with the participation in the Activity for:
(i) Any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages;
(ii) Any loss of income, business, actual or anticipated profits, opportunity, goodwill or reputation (whether direct or indirect);
(iii) Any damage to and/or corruption or loss of data (whether direct or indirect);
(iv) Any changes, modifications, extensions or limitations (including any suspension of Participant) in the Activity.
(v) Access to Participant account and account data or Participant registration data) taking part of the Activity, or any permanent or temporary cessation in the terms or conditions of the Activity (or any part of them).
In the term that Organizer is liable for a breach of these terms, Organizer liability shall be limited to damages which Organizer must typically expect at the time of the conclusion of these Terms due to the circumstances known at the time. Notwithstanding the above, such damages shall not be higher than 100 euros (or equivalent local currency).
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit Organizer’s:
a) Liability for death or fraud or in accordance with any product liability act; and
b) Warranty or liability for damages or losses which may not be lawfully excluded or limited by applicable law. If the laws in the Participant jurisdiction do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, terms or conditions or the limitation or exclusion of liability for loss or damage caused by negligence, breach of contract or breach of implied terms, or incidental or consequential damages, only the limitations which are lawful in that jurisdiction will apply to the Participant and Organizer’s liability and warranty will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Participant is entirely responsible for any breach of the obligations under
(i) These Terms; and
(ii) Any applicable law or regulation in the relevant jurisdictions, including the jurisdiction where you are a resident or from where you are participating in the Activity.
(iii) And for the consequences of any such breach, including any loss or damage which Organizer or any third-party may incur or suffer. Organizer will have no responsibility to Participant or to any third party in respect of such breach.
Participation in the Activity will be governed by the Terms, which will be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Organizer. The Participant have the option of filing claims at a competent court in the country in which they are resident.
