How to clean and maintain the Xiaomi Electric Kettle 2 Lite?
The Xiaomi Electric Kettle 2 Lite does not have a filtration function, so it will produce limescale when using tap water. It is recommended to choose pure water for usage.
To clean the limescale in the kettle, please refer to the following steps:
1. Add 0.5L of food-grade white vinegar and leave it to soak for at least 1 hour;
2. After pouring out the white vinegar, wipe off any remaining sediment with a damp cloth;
3. Add water (above the minimum water level and below the maximum water level) and pour it out after it boils, and then use clean water to rinse the kettle 4-5 times;
4. Use a dry cloth to clean the outside of the kettle. Keep the kettle in a dry, well-ventilated area, and protect it from dust, moisture, and insects.
Note:
1. Regularly remove limescale and sediment inside the kettle every 2-3 months to extend its service life. If the water in your area contains high levels of dissolved minerals, the electric kettle should be cleaned more frequently;
2. If there is a severe build-up of limescale, repeat the above procedure. Do not use steel wool or any chemical or abrasive cleaning agent.
