Mi Extended Warranty Plan – Terms & Conditions

  1. The Plan

“Mi Extended Warranty” shall mean an extension of manufacturer’s warranty terms by a continuous period of 2 years starting from the expiry of manufacturer’s warranty & it will be comprehensive for 3 years only (panel gets extended only one year. i.e. 3rd year). Mi Extended Warranty replicates the manufacturer’s warranty against any malfunctions or breakdown.

    1. The offer is valid only on purchase of Xiaomi OLED Vision TV & Mi QLED TV 75
  1. Plan Term & Eligibility

The Mi Extended Warranty covers commences on the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty period and shall continue to remain in force for a period as applicable. The coverage is for cost of parts and labor in respect of the covered Product for covered inherent mechanical and electrical breakdown/defects to the extent provided by the manufacturer’s warranty for devices manufactured in India or is legally imported in India & sold through Xiaomi official Channels with Manufacturer’s Warranty/Guarantee

  1. Offer Duration

    1. The offer is a limited period offer and is valid for devices sold on or before 28th Feb 2023
  2. Redemption Process 5.1 The Extended Warranty will be activated automatically within 10 days of purchase during the offer period

  3. Plan features

    1. All labour and spare part costs, conveyance for onsite visit (If required) & unlimited repairs are included in the plan
    2. The Plan is linked to the SN/ IMEI of the device only and independent of the customer ownership
    3. Zero documentation requirement from customer during claim process
    4. Repairs will be be carried out through Xiaomi Authorised Service centres only
  4. Coverage Details

    1. This plan provides coverage against any mechanical and electrical breakdown/defects during the EW Period for the device
    2. Customer can avail unlimited claims during the EW period
    3. 100% Cashless repair benefits during the EW Period
    4. Coverage will commences on the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty period
  5. Benefits Value

Customer can avail 100% cashless repair unlimited time during the EW period, the plan will extend the manufacturer warranty for the device for 2 years opted by the customer & only the consumables/ accessories like remotes or other plastic parts/ports only will be excluded from the coverage

  1. Scope of Service under the Plan Provided the registered device is entered for repair to Xiaomi Authorised Service Centres in its entirety during the claim request process and have purchased the registered devices from official sales channels of Xiaomi in India, the following conditions would be considered under the Plan.

Inclusions:

  1. Protection against mechanical and electrical breakdown and malfunctions.
  2. If the total cost of repair / replacement of parts is above 80% of the value of the device, then it will be treated as Beyond Economic Repair, and the customer will be given cash settlement worth Invoice Price less Depreciation.
  3. Depreciation (applicable only to Total Loss and Beyond Economic Repair claims) will be 15% of Invoice Price from 12 to 24 months.
  4. Nil Depreciation on Partial Loss and Repair Claims.
  5. Nil Excess is payable on any type of claims.

Exclusions

  1. Software related breakdown / malfunctions / crash / virus or cyber-attacks.
  2. Physical / Liquid Damage
  3. Loss due to Fire and allied perils, Act of God, Terrorism
  4. Normal wear and Tear
  5. Any type of loss not covered under Manufacturing Warranty
  6. Any loss to consumables/Filters
  7. Any type of loss not covered in inclusions
  8. Losses occurring during Manufacturing Warranty period
