How do I pay for my purchases online?

We offer multiple online payment methods, including:

    Do you offer Cash on Delivery?

    Yes, we do offer cash on delivery to a select list of pin-codes and for order amounts under Rs. 50,000, as mandated by our courier partners. With Cash on Delivery you can pay in cash at the time of actual delivery of the product at your doorstep, without making advanced payment online. The payment amount is reflected on the package invoice for your reference.

What information do I need to for online payments?

  1. Credit Card: You would need to provide us with the card holder name, card number, CVV number and card expiry date. All these details are available on the credit card itself. You would also need to have your 3D-secure password or one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered email ID or phone number for secure confirmation of the transaction.
  2. Debit Card: You would need to provide us with the card holder name, card number, CVV number and card expiry date. All these details are available on the debit card itself. You will then be re-directed to your bank’s secure page for 3D-secure authorization where further validation details may be required.
  3. Net Banking: You would need to select your preferred bank, and provide the bank account number and IPIN.

What is a CVV number and where is it available?

The CVV number is an important security feature that helps prevent fraud. We ask you to enter the CVV number during your transaction to ensure that the physical card is in your possession.

  1. For Visa / MasterCard / Diners: CVV number is a 3–digit code printed on the back of the card.
  2. For American Express: CVV number is a 4–digit code printed on the front right–hand side of the card above the card number.

Is it safe to use my credit card, debit card or net banking?

Shopping on mi.com is completely safe and secure! Our online payment is integrated with India’s leading payment gateway technology solutions provider, PayU.

PayU Payments India Pvt. Ltd is both a VeriSign Secured® as well as PCI compliant company.

PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance indicates that PayU is compliant with the global information security standards defined for organizations which handle secure information shared by credit / debit card-holders and net-banking information.

Please be rest assured that your card / account information is safely encrypted as it travels over the Internet. Once your transaction is completed on the PayU site, you would be re-directed back to mi.com. If the transaction was successful, you will be provided with the relevant order details. Please do not press the browser back button or page refresh while the transaction is being processed.

Does Mi India store my credit / debit card information or my net banking account information?

No, mi.com does not collect or store your credit / debit card information or your net banking account information. When you choose to an online payment option, you will re-directed to our trusted payment gateway site secure.payu.in for processing. Your card / account information is securely authorized by PayU and corresponding banks, without any information passing back to us.

Will I be asked by Mi India to share card information, account information, or passwords over email or phone?

The Mi India team will never request you to share any of your payment related details over email or phone. These details are only requested during online transactions on mi.com and should not be given out otherwise.

Are there any hidden charges (Octroi or Sales Tax) when I make a purchase on mi.com?

No, there are no hidden charges when you make a purchase on mi.com. Your total order amount will be displayed at the time of payment and before your order is placed. You are not required to pay any amount in excess of what is reflected on the invoice.

How will transactions on mi.com appear on my Credit / Debit Card or Bank statements?

All transactions performed on mi.com will appear under the heading of “XIAOMI TECHNOLOGY” on your card or bank statements.

What should I do if my online transaction fails to go through successfully?

Online payment transactions could fail due to various reasons, such as inaccurate card information and internet connection disruption. In such an event, PayU will provide two choices: (i) returning to mi.com and re-starting the purchase process, or (ii) re-trying the payment on the PayU page using either the same card / account or a different card / account. You can choose either option to proceed.

Should your account be debited after a payment failure, the full amount will be reversed within 7-10 working days. Please direct all questions regarding such issues to service.in@xiaomi.com.

Offline EMI FAQ

Why have I been charged with the full amount of the transaction?

At first full amount is charged and later converted in EMI normally within 7 working days. Please contact your card issuing bank in case 7 working days have passed and transaction has not been converted to EMIs.

Why my issuing bank call center has no information on EMI conversion?

The issuing bank will receive EMI request after at least 3 working days of the transaction. Then issuing banks can provide status of transactions.

Why has the transaction amount not converted into EMI in 7 working days?

Please contact your card issuing banks in-case 7 days have passed and transaction has not been converted in EMI. Conversion of transaction into EMI is at the sole discretion of card issuing bank and can also be rejected in unfortunate circumstances.

Why is the full amount charged in my bill?

Please check transaction date and customer bill generation date, if the period is less than 7 working days then customer needs to speak to issuing bank to determine how much to pay. The bank might convert the EMI at a later date and change bill payment.

Why the sum total of EMIs is more than the transaction amount?

The issuing bank charges interest per EMI transaction. The interest rates are decided by the bank and are displayed at the time of completing the transaction.

What happens if bank rejects EMI conversion?

Customer needs to pay full amount of the transaction to the bank, since EMI facility is at sole discretion of the issuing bank. Or customer can refer to refund/return policy of the merchant.

Will my order be shipped once my EMI is approved?

Once the payment is made, Xiaomi shall ship the product as per schedule and would not wait for the EMI approval.

Will my transaction amount be refunded if the EMI is rejected

No refund will be issued in case the issuing bank rejects the EMI application since this EMI grant is at the bank’s sole discretion.

If I qualify to get a refund as per Xiaomi policy will I receive the interest on it as well?

In case of refund, no interest payment will be borne by Xiaomi. Xiaomi shall return the transaction amount that was paid after the user returns the device in sealed condition.

Whom should I reach out to if my EMI is rejected

If offline EMI is rejected, user should take it up with issuing bank and not with Xiaomi or PayU. The customer will have to inquire about the status of their EMI request with their issuing bank.

Can I cancel an offline EMI transaction?

EMI transactions once submitted cannot be cancelled/reversed.

Who will approve my EMI?

The issuing bank may modify the terms of the EMI offering at any time. Further, the issuing bank may at its sole discretion chose to reject or change EMI tenure (basis customer history, amount of transaction) or withdraw EMI scheme completely.

Why is my Card being saved on Mi.com?

We hope to save time for you by remembering your card details. This way you don’t have to enter your card information each time you shop at Mi.com/ This is not only faster, it is also very safe.

Is it safe to save my cards on Mi.com?

Totally. You can rely on us 100% for keeping your card information safe. A highly secure system compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) is used with PayU. This will safeguard your card information at all times. Mi.com will use only tokens to process transactions on user's request.

What all card information does Mi.com store?

Please note that we only save card information when the customer selects the option. Information such as card number, cardholder name and card expiry date are stored, however, CVV number and 3D Secure password are not stored.

How many cards can I save on Mi.com?

You can store any number of cards on Mi.com. There is no limitation.

What all cards can I save on Mi.com?

You can save any Indian credit or debit card with the MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Maestro.

Can I use a saved card to make an EMI payment?

No, saved card cannot be used to avail EMI.
