Lei Jun, aged 51, is an Executive Director, the Founder, the Chairman and the CEO of the Company. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee. Lei Jun is responsible for the Company’s overall corporate strategy, company culture and key products. He oversees the senior management team. Lei Jun currently holds directorships in various subsidiaries, Consolidated Affiliated Entities and operating entities of the Group.
Lei Jun is a renowned angel investor in mainland China. Lei Jun joined Kingsoft Corporation Limited (SEHK Stock Code: 3888) in 1992 and has held various senior positions in Kingsoft, including as the chairman of the board since July 2011, non-executive director since August 2008 and the chief executive officer between 1998 and December 2007. From July 2011 to March 2018, Lei Jun was the chairman of Cheetah Mobile Inc. (NYSE ticker: CMCM). From July 2011 to August 2016, Lei Jun was the chairman of JOYY Inc. (NASDAQ ticker: YY). From December 2011, Lei Jun has served as a director of Beijing Kingsoft Office Software, Inc. (Sci-Tech Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange ticker: 688111). From April 2015, Lei Jun has been the chairman of the board of Kingsoft Cloud Holdings Limited (NASDAQ ticker: KC).
Lei Jun received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Wuhan University on July 1, 1991. He has been a member of the board of Wuhan University since November 2003.
Lei Jun was elected as one of the 2017 Top 10 Economic Personages of China, and one of 100 outstanding private entrepreneurs at the 40th anniversary of the China’s reform and opening-up. In 2020, Lei Jun was honored with title of “National Advanced Individual of Private Economy Fighting against COVID-19” and title of “Beijing Model Worker”.
Lin Bin, aged 53, is an Executive Director, a Co-founder and Vice Chairman. He is also a member of the Nomination Committee. Lin Bin currently holds directorships in various subsidiaries of the Group.
Lin Bin co-founded Xiaomi with Lei Jun in 2010. He served as President of Xiaomi until 2019 when he took the role of Vice Chairman of the Company. During the early phase of Xiaomi’s development, Bin was responsible for HR recruiting, legal and finance operation, strategic partnerships with key suppliers, and overseas market expansion in countries like India, Indonesia etc. As the company grew, Bin also oversaw the company’s domestic sales and marketing, after-sales services operations, and Xiaomi’s smartphone business.
Lin Bin had served as an Engineering Director at Google Inc. between 2006 and 2010. Before this, he had worked at Microsoft Corporation from 1995 to 2006 and served various roles such as Software Design Engineer (SDE), SDE Lead, SDE Manager, and Engineering Director. Prior to this, Lin Bin worked as a network engineer at ADP Inc. since May 1993.
Lin Bin has held numerous visiting and adjunct professorships, including visiting professor at Zhejiang University in 2002, visiting professor at Tongji University in 2002, adjunct professor at Nankai University from 2002 to 2005 and adjunct professor at Sun Yat-sen University from 2005 to 2008. He currently sits on the Board of Advisors of the Tufts University School of Engineering.
Lin Bin received a Bachelor of Science in Radio Electronics from Sun Yat-sen University in July 1990, and a Master of Science from Drexel University in June 1992.
Wang Xiang, aged 60, is Partner and President of the Group. He assists the CEO in operations of the Group. Wang Xiang joined the Group in July 2015 and was Senior Vice President of the Group and President of the International Department, responsible for global business development, intellectual property (IP) strategy and strategic partnership management. In November 2019, he became President of the Group. Since he joined the Group, Wang Xiang led the team and entered into over 100 countries and regions with his outstanding leadership and strong management background; meanwhile, he continuously improved Xiaomi's global IP strategy and compliance system, cleared IP obstacles and facilitated the globalization of the Group. Wang Xiang worked as Senior Vice President and President of Greater China at Qualcomm Inc., where he was responsible for their business operations in the region, including the chipset business and customer services in China. Prior to working with Qualcomm, he had been focusing on sales and marketing and held senior management positions in multiple leading companies including Motorola Inc., Lucent Technologies, Inc. and Agere Systems Inc. In July 1984, Wang Xiang graduated from Beijing University of Technology and obtained a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering.
Hong Feng, aged 44, is Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of the Group. He is now also Chairman of Airstar Digital Technology, the FinTech business of the Group. Hong Feng joined the Group in 2010 and was initially in charge of the MIUI operating system and Internet services. Since 2015, he shifted his focus to developing the FinTech business and led a team to provide FinTech services, including online credit, third-party payment, online wealth management and insurance services to tens of millions of users. Hong Feng worked at Google from May 2005 to December 2010 and was responsible for product and engineering management. From May 2001 to May 2005, Hong Feng worked as Senior Software Engineer at Siebel Systems (which was subsequently acquired by Oracle America, Inc.). Hong Feng graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in July 1999 and obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering. In May 2001, he received an MSc degree from Prudue University.
Liu De joined Xiaomi in 2010 and he is in charge of the recruitment, promotion, training and assessment of senior staff, organizational structure design and approval. Liu De graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in industrial design and a master's degree in mechanical engineering. He continued his academic career at Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design located in California, USA, where he received a master's degree in industrial design. He returned to China to establish the industrial design department at University of Science and Technology Beijing, where he served as the department’s dean.
Wang Chuan joined Xiaomi in 2012 and currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer. He graduated from Beijing University of Technology with a master's degree in computer science & engineering. He founded Thunder Stone Technology Ltd. in 1996 and led the company to be the largest audio-visual entertainment equipment supplier in China. In 2010, Wang Chuan founded Beijing Duokan Technology Co., Ltd and served as the CEO.
Zhang Feng, aged 52, is Partner and Senior Vice President of the Group, Chairman of the Group Procurement Committee. Zhang Feng joined the Group in 2016 and since then has taken several leading roles in the Smartphone Supply Chain Department, the Group General Staff Department and the smart hardware business. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Procurement Committee. Meanwhile he is also head of the TV Department, Laptop Department and Major Appliance Department. Zhang Feng has over two decades of experience in the mobile phone and communications industries. In 2012, he founded Jiangsu Zimi Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., and in 2013, Zimi became a Xiaomi ecosystem company specializing in the R&D and manufacturing of power banks and other related accessories. From September 1993 to January 2012, Zhang Feng worked at Inventec Appliances Corp. and held multiple positions, including R&D Director and General Manager of Inventec Appliances (Nanjing) Corp. From 1991 to 1993, he was involved in the R&D of China's first analogue mobile handset — the YD9100. Zhang Feng received a bachelor's degree in Radio Electronics from Shanghai University of Science and Technology (nowadays known as Shanghai University) in July 1991.
Lu Weibing, aged 46, is Partner and Senior Vice President of the Group, and President of the China Region, President of the International Department and General Manager of the Redmi brand. He is responsible for sales management of the China Region and the International Department, as well as branding, product planning, manufacturing, and sales & marketing of Redmi. Lu Weibing joined the Group in January 2019 and has since led the team and launched a number of highly successful products. Among them, the sales volumes of many hit record highs, and three smartphone models were listed as the world's top 10 best-selling mobile phones. In November 2019, he was appointed as President of the China Region. Relying on years of marketing experience and profound insights, he led the team and formulated the strategic goals and business directions, and achieved very positive outcomes. In August 2020, he was promoted to be Partner of the Group. In March 2021, he was also appointed as President of the International Department. From June 2017 to December 2018, Lu Weibing founded Shenzhen Chenyee Technology Co., Ltd., and served as CEO of the organization. Between April 2010 and June 2017, he served as President of Gionee Communication Equipment Co. Ltd. From January 2008 to March 2010, he worked at Beijing Tianyu Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. as General Manager of the Overseas Business Department. From July 1998 to December 2007, he worked as Sales General Manager of Shenzhen Konka Telecommunications Co., Ltd. Lu Weibing graduated from Tsinghua University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, and received his EMBA degree from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in 2009.
Zeng Xuezhong joined Xiaomi in July 2020, and he is responsible for R&D and manufacturing of smartphone. Zeng Xuezhong graduated from the department of physics of Tsinghua University and later obtained an EMBA from Tsinghua University. He has served as Senior Vice President and President of ZTE Corporation in China, Executive Vice President of ZTE Corporation and CEO of ZTE Terminal. He also held senior management positions such as Global Executive Vice President of Tsinghua Unigroup, Chairman and General Manager of Huixin Communications. As an excellent manager and expert in communication industry, he has rich practical experience in corporate strategy, innovation and transformation.
Manu joined Xiaomi in 2014, he is the head of Xiaomi’s business across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. He graduated from IIT Delhi in engineering, and received an MBA from IIM Calcutta, India. Before Xiaomi, he worked at McKinsey & Company for 5 years, and co-founded Jabong.com, which is a leading e-commerce company in India.
Cui Baoqiu joined Xiaomi in 2012 and now is the President of Qinghe University. Dr. Cui Baoqiu graduated from the department of computer science of Wuhan University and received his PhD in computer science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Prior to joining Xiaomi, he worked at IBM Silicon Valley Lab, Yahoo! and LinkedIn, working on technology development and management in database, search engine, machine learning, big data, social networking and more.
Yan Kesheng, aged 51, is Vice President of the Group, General Manager of the Smart Manufacturing Department. He is responsible for smart manufacturing solutions at the system level. Yan Kesheng joined the Group in October 2010, and was head of the Smartphone Hardware R&D Department. He fully engaged in processes including defining and manufacturing of smartphones, and established several departments including the Smartphone Core Component Department, the Group Quality Committee and Qinghe University. Prior to joining the Group, Yan Kesheng worked as Principal Structural Design Engineer at Motorola Technology Co., Ltd. and VTech Telecommunications Limited. Yan Kesheng graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing and Repair in July 1992.
Shang Jin joined Xiaomi in 2013, and now he’s responsible for the management of New Retail Department of China Region. He graduated from Dalian University of Technology, department of physics. Shang Jin joined Kingsoft in 1999, contributing to its WPS and gaming areas in both Zhuhai and Beijing locations. In 2002, he became Lei Jun’s Technical Assistant. Shang Jin left Kingsoft in 2005 and invested in or co-founded several gaming companies such as Changyou, youxigu.com, 70yx.com and Qilin Films.
Dr. He Yong, aged 48, is Vice President of the Group. He is responsible for regional strategic development and real estate construction and management of the Group. Dr. He Yong joined the Group in September 2018 and has since been in charge of several departments including the Public Affairs Department, the Regional Development Department, the Administration Department, Regional Headquarters and the Engineering Management Department. Before joining the Group, Dr. He Yong worked as Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of Hubei Province in Beijing since February 2017. He has extensive management experience in government and public affairs, regional strategic planning and major project organization. Dr. He Yong obtained a PhD in Economics from Wuhan University in December 2020. He earned an MBA degree in July 2006 and a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in June 1998, both from Renmin University of China.
Chang Cheng joined Xiaomi in January 2020, and he is responsible for smartphone product planning. Dr. Chang Cheng graduated from the department of mathematics of Beijing Normal University and received his PhD in engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Prior to joining Xiaomi, he worked as Vice President of Lenovo Group.
Alain Lam, aged 48, is Vice President and CFO of the Group, and CEO of Airstar Digital Technology. Prior to joining the Group, Alain worked at Credit Suisse as Managing Director and Head of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Group of the Investment Banking division starting from January 2016 to October 2020. From July 1997 to December 2015, Alain worked at Morgan Stanley in the London, New York, Menlo Park and Hong Kong offices. Alain was responsible for leading many US IPO projects including those of Kingsoft Cloud, XPeng Motors and Pinduoduo, as well as Hong Kong IPO projects including those of Alibaba, Xiaomi, and NetEase. Alain graduated from University of Oxford with a master's degree in Engineering.
